Personal Shopper with love
One of the jobs I especially love is Personal Shopping with clients. Clients usually reach out for such sessions when they need to revamp their wardrobe, and more often than not, when they are going through some growth spurts in life and feel that their existing wardrobe just does not support them anymore.
A consultation is scheduled to first understand the client’s needs then either myself or together with the client we shop for a new wardrobe.
Apart from clients in town, there are gorgeous sessions of receiving overseas clients when they are in town, the highest record is literally shop till we drop for 6 hours together. Believe it or not, I have also supported a client from Germany when she brought me with her (on zoom) to a shop to try things out. It is beautiful to have received a husband purchase a Personal Shopping gift for her wife who is a new mom and have no time to shop.
It is very common that clients require a steady and solid professional view point when they are wardrobe shopping-as the pressure received from the forces of retail can feel very imposing. Therefore, in my Personal Shopping work, it is always gorgeous to align and understand more on how the retail staff work.
One of the highlights of my work in this area is once a client’s personal assistant reached out to me from overseas, and I am to meet this client without any prior meetings or consultations and shop together. I always love these challenges to feel into and connect with my clients before meeting them. Not to mention all the conversations with numerous brands and their staff. It is a super grand process of understanding products, the retail situation, my client and supporting them to truly feel confident in the way they dress, whilst elevating sales and the designs in this industry I dearly treasure.
This is a basic standard to serve each and every area of fashion.
